Educational Visits

Hadley Learning community Primary

Aims to offer children a broad, rich, and engaging curriculum

At HLC Primary School, we are passionate about providing pupils with meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Educational visits are a key part of our curriculum, helping to bring learning to life, build confidence, and deepen understanding across a wide range of subjects.

Our Educational Visits Coordinator is Mr Evans.

Our trips are carefully chosen to enhance classroom learning, strengthen community links, and broaden pupils’ horizons. Some of the exciting places our children visit include:

  • The National Museum in Liverpool – exploring history, art, and culture
  • Rhyl Beach – learning about coastal environments and enjoying outdoor fun
  • Chirk Castle – discovering local history and heritage
  • Arthog Outdoor Education Centre – a memorable Year 6 residential focused on teamwork, resilience, and adventure
  • Kingswood – an exciting overnight stay in Year 4 packed with outdoor challenges
  • Thinktank, Birmingham – hands-on science and technology exploration
  • DENSO Eco Garden – learning about sustainability and the natural world
  • Ironbridge – stepping back in time to explore the Industrial Revolution and world history on our doorstep

…and many more enriching experiences throughout the year.

Every visit is supported by comprehensive risk assessments and robust safeguarding procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils and staff. These opportunities not only enhance academic learning but also support the development of independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of discovery.
