Catering and school meals
Hadley Learning Community Primary
is partnered with Chartwells for the provision of school meals.
Chartwells provides our pupils with delicious, nutritious meals that they genuinely look forward to each day. Our menu operates on a three-week rotating cycle, offering variety and excitement at lunchtime. Every day, pupils can choose from at least two hot main dishes, a jacket potato option, and two deli selections—ensuring there’s something to suit every taste and dietary requirement. With an ever-expanding range of choices, all pupils can find something they enjoy. Lunch options are selected each morning, helping build anticipation and making lunchtime a highlight of the day.
Please find menus and more information at the bottom of the page.
Lunch boxes
While we understand the convenience of home-packed lunches, we encourage all pupils in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 to take advantage of our nutritious hot school meals. Alongside daily deli options, our canteen also offers an expanded menu that includes healthy snacks and caters to a wide range of dietary needs.
If you still prefer to provide a packed lunch, we kindly ask parents and carers to ensure it aligns with healthy eating guidelines. Please note that nut products, fizzy drinks, and sweets are not permitted in school to support the wellbeing of all pupils.
Free meals
Pupils in reception, year 1 and year 2 enjoy daily free meals at no charge for pupils in these year groups.
As a pupil enters year 3, parents/carers must apply, if eligible, for free meals through the local authority, although, we give all year 3 pupils free meals for the first two weeks of the autumn term to give parents/carers time to apply for free meals. Find our more information about free meals and apply online on the local authority website – click here
Paying for school meals
For pupils in Year 3 and above who are not eligible for Free School Meals, our school dinners remain excellent value at just £2.60 per meal.
To access school meals, parents and carers should use the ParentPay App. Account details will be provided upon a pupil’s enrolment. Once logged in, simply navigate to the ‘Pay for Meals’ section and top up your child’s account to ensure they can enjoy our daily meal options without interruption.
